Our Story

Welcome to Inked & Etched, thanks for stopping by!

My name is Bree and I’m the founder of this little brand and boutique located in the heart of Willetton, Western Australia. Inked & Etched is my dream business and I have you guys to thank for that!

Five or so years ago, as a fully qualified Graphic Design business owner I wanted to explore alternative avenues and came across laser cutting. In 2017, in the wake of personal family tragedy, following the sudden loss of my brother, I asked my Dad to start this business with me as a way giving us something to refocus our energy on and allow me to spend more time with my family. The following year Dad and I began working out of his home garage selling laser cut products and dried flowers online. The business slowly grew and by 2020 became far too big to operate from Dad's garage. It was time to give Dad back his man cave and I opened the boutique, nicknamed ‘The Etch’, on Roxby Lane.

Whilst Dad decided that he didn’t want to work in a shop full of flowers, he continues to help me with the technical stuff behind the scenes. Whenever I break my machine or need things fixing around the shop, Dad is always there to help. I couldn't be more grateful for everything he has done over the years. Whilst this business grew out of heartbreak, I’m so grateful for the bond that Dad and I formed whilst navigating the highs and lows of running a small business. One that isn’t so small anymore. Also a huge thank you to my mum for her wisdom and knowledge of running a business and her constant support of Inked & Etched. I couldn't have done it without you both.

In 2021, the fabulous Deb came on board and now helps me with everything from making floral arrangements, teaching her knowledge of Essential oils, making macrame and serving our amazing customers. I’m so grateful for all that she does.

Inked & Etched has continued to transform over the years, becoming bigger and better all the time. We now stock a huge range of products from other local artisans including candles, resin art, earrings, tea and so much more. I count myself lucky to walk into this store everyday and say this is what I do for a living.

Thank you all for supporting us, whether it be a like on social media, a drop into the store to say hello or to purchase one of our products, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Inked & Etched is dedicated to my brother, Ryan, who was also a keen business man. My only hope as a business woman is that I be as wise, hard working and meticulous as my brother was. I hope we’ve made him proud.

Love Bree x
